Equine Therapy

The What

The What

The What

We teach horsemanship from the ground up. Our equine partners are the therapists and our staff teaches our clients how to speak the subtle language of horses. Relationships are established with trust and how we progress from there depends upon each individual. We will include the family in this process as well if requested.

The Why

The What

The What

Equine Therapy has proven to be an effective approach in treatment programs for patients, including combat veterans, with PTSD, depression, grief/loss, trauma, ADD/ADHD, bipolar, depression, anxiety and other chronic mental illnesses.

The How

The What

The How

Everyone starts by learning basic horsemanship which includes learning how to groom and tack the horse, and what the tools are called. Our Heroes learn how to read the body language of the horses, working in a round pen to establish mutual trust on the ground.

The How

We are a federally recognized 501c3 organization.
