Back in the Saddle - Equine Services for Heroes

Go ahead, we dare you to

discover the secret

 of how horses

make the rest of the world

disappear for awhile.

Our Purpose

Our Story

Our staff is comprised of  PATH Intl. Therapeutic Instructors and Equine Services for Heroes Specialists.  We provide non-traditional therapies for anyone suffering from visible and invisible injuries sustained in the line of duty by our Nation’s Heroes.  Our services extend to ALL HEROES including law enforcement officers, firefighters, first responders, anyone in the medical field, and their families and caregivers. Our mission is to provide a renewed quality of life and hope for their future together with long term results. Empirical and scientific evidence obtained though research conducted by renowned professionals in this field supports the success of our methods.

What We Do

We teach horse / human communication. Initial connections are made with all six feet on the ground.  We will provide services to include the family as a unit if requested and whenever possible.  Not everyone will have the desire to ride, so progressing to mounted work is a decision made case by case. We value the discussion of the goals of the client, their family, and caregivers, and will make every effort to take them into consideration  when designing the lesson plans. We incorporate specific techniques and safety measures in both groundwork and mounted activities.  We will customize our services to best  meet your needs. Please contact us to schedule your visit today.

About Us

We are honored to have been invited to have our 501c3 non-profit program hosted by Hillcrest Farms, owned by Stan & Kelly Coats.  Their mission is to provide a family atmosphere for community connection, and cultivate a respect and love for the land and its animals through education, conservation, and outdoor recreation. The facility is comprised of multiple riding arenas, a fishing pond, as well a  lounge for non equestrians to relax while their family member enjoys their equine partners.  It spans 100 acres of property, and is easily accessible from

Interstate Highway 95,  just a short drive from Goldsboro or Fayettville, NC.

THE HOW’s and WHY’s

We teach horsemanship from the ground up. Our equine partners are the therapists and our staff teaches our clients how to speak the subtle language of horses. Relationships are established with trust and how we progress from there depends upon each individual. We will include the family in this process as well if requested.

Without our dedicated group of supporters we could not provide this crucial service to our deserving Heroes and their families. If you would like to become involved  please contact us today. The opportunities for you to make a difference are vast. We feel it is important that we recognize everyone who supports our mission . Please click on the button below to see those who have given their time and support in numerous ways. We will update this list often.
